Hydrogen power plant to be set up on Bengaluru outskirts

Bengaluru will soon have a hydrogen power plant on its outskirts, with the state government giving the green signal for the project. The plant, which is expected to be the first of its kind in Karnataka, will be developed in collaboration with private players to promote clean and renewable energy.

Officials said the project is aimed at reducing carbon emissions and dependence on conventional fossil fuels. The initiative is also expected to generate new employment opportunities and boost the state’s green energy capacity.

According to sources, land has already been identified for the project, and work is likely to begin in the coming months. The government believes the hydrogen power plant will play a crucial role in achieving Karnataka’s renewable energy targets and contribute to the nation’s overall sustainability goals.
